Major international hoteliers look to drop anchor at Edinburgh Marina

Edinburgh Marina Holdings confirms it is now in advanced negotiations with a major international hotel partner for its new Edinburgh Marina hotel which forms a key component of the wider £500 million waterside development.

The new Edinburgh Marina Spa & Conference Hotel will comprise of 187 rooms with 21 suites including an exclusive 1,000 sq. ft Presidential suite. Hotel guests will have access to unparalleled facilities, including a 20,000 sq.ft. state-of-the-art health spa and fitness centre, a 10,000 sqft Conference & Banqueting Centre and restaurants and bars. The hotel overlooks the new 340 berth Edinburgh Marina which will be operated by internationally renowned owners and operators, Camper & Nicholsons Marinas. The new Edinburgh Marina will be unique due to its ability to offer 24/7 access.

This luxury new hotel together with the new Edinburgh Marina, will form the centrepiece of the development and is a major component of Edinburgh Marina Holdings’ commitment to deliver over 400 permanent employment opportunities for the local community. The developer has continued to surpass expectations, significantly increasing the number of jobs available, whilst also increasing the projected percentage of affordable homes.

The leading hotel asset management company, Michels & Taylor, is acting as advisors to the Developer.

The Developer’s funding adviser for the Edinburgh Marina Development has now been confirmed as BFIN (Brookfield Financial), a leading global investment bank focused on major real estate and infrastructure.
