US boatbuilder Malibu Boats has announced that Ritchie Anderson, president, will retire effective 7 February 2025. Anderson will remain in his role until that date. Following his retirement, Steve Menneto, the company’s chief executive officer, will assume the additional role of president.

Donna Tallent, senior vice president of operations, will take over leadership of Malibu’s operations. Both Tallent and the brand presidents will report directly to Menneto.

Menneto was promoted to CEO of the Tennessee-based firm in May 2024 after Jack Springer stepped down from the role.

Anderson has worked in the powerboat manufacturing industry for over 40 years, including 12 years with Malibu Boats. His roles with the company have included vice president of operations, chief operating officer and, most recently, president. Prior to joining Malibu, he spent 28 years at MasterCraft Boat Company, holding various leadership roles such as vice president of operations.

“Ritchie’s leadership has been instrumental in developing Malibu Boats into the industry leader it is today,” says Menneto. “He has built a strong, capable team of leaders and fostered a culture of operational excellence. Thanks to his dedication, the company is positioned for continued success with our deep leadership team that embodies our core values of delivering the highest quality boats in the marine industry.”

“It has been an incredible 12-year journey with Malibu,” says Anderson. “I am immensely proud of the teams and culture we have built across all the Malibu Boats companies, and it has been an honour to work alongside such passionate and dedicated individuals. Their commitment to excellence has been the foundation of Malibu Boats’ success, and I am confident that under Steve and Donna’s leadership, they will continue to drive the company forward and seize new opportunities.”

Malibu designs boats under its namesake brand, as well as those under the Axis, Pursuit, Cobalt, Cobia, Pathfinder, Maverick and Hewes brands.
