Marine Components International appointed as exclusive UK distributor for Mantus

Marine Components International (MCI) has been appointed as the exclusive UK marine distributor for USA quick setting anchor manufacturer, Mantus Marine.

“Mantus Marine offer the full range of anchors,” says David Ellis sales and marketing manager for MCI. “We have only seen and heard good things about Mantus. They set rapidly, and offer sailors a secure anchor solution, whilst their innovative design allows them to be packed down for easy storage.”

The Mantus ranges includes the Quick Connect Anchor available in three sizes and is designed for small dinghies/tenders and boats up to 25ft. It easily packs down for storage and requires no bolts, due to a spring-loaded pin that locks the shank in place and the roll bar stretches to snap in position.

Others in the range include the Mantus M1 Anchor, a cruising and powerboat yacht anchor that is designed to penetrate soft seabeds, or hard or dense grassy bottoms.

Then there’s the Mantus M2 Anchor which fit boats with bow sprits and bow pulpits and has a weighted nose to initiate roll over to the correct setting position without the need for a roll bar.

MCI says that over the last decade, tests performed by Cruising World, Practical Sailor, Sail and PMY
magazines proved that new-generation type boat anchors outperform the traditional designs. It believes that no other boat anchor on the market can set as rapidly, reliably, and securely.
