Marine Fire Safety opens new warehouse and distribution centre

Marine Fire Safety warehouse Bodmin Cornwall

Marine Fire Safety, a specialist in firefighting and lifesaving equipment for the marine industry, has opened up a new distribution and service centre in Bodmin, Cornwall.

The new site is set to increase support for the Marine Fire Safety team in the south west of England. It will provide a greater stock holding of products from across its marine firefighting and lifesaving equipment ranges, as well as act as a central location for the collection and drop-off of liferafts and lifejackets in need of servicing.

“The opening of this site will have huge logistical advantages to us as a business, which in turn will offer great benefits to our local customers,” says Mark Bresnahan, managing director of Marine Fire Safety.

“We have a large customer base in Cornwall which includes fishing and small commercial operators, all of whom operate to strict schedules and need the assurance of full compliance. It’s important that as a business we streamline our approach, to fulfil our customers’ requirements.

“An increased capacity to hold stock means our lead times to supply product is reduced and with a bigger service centre, the more products we can service will increase, which will have a positive effect on service schedules.”

The company says the new site will offer its south west-based customers complete capability for all their marine firefighting and lifesaving equipment requirements, as well as the safe disposal of unwanted or outdated flares.

It will be managed by Gareth Hall, a longstanding member of the Marine Fire Safety team.

In 2023, the firm opened a new service station in Fraserburgh, following its launch in Scotland 18 months prior.
