Marine Resources launches third Marine Industry Salary and Employment Survey

Marine Resources has launched the third edition of its Marine Industry Salary and Employment Survey.

The survey – previously conducted in 2019 and 2022 – aims to provide an in-depth look at current trends in salaries, benefits and workforce dynamics, and form an industry benchmark for pay and employment data. It is now open for participation across the UK’s marine and maritime sectors.

Spanning all sectors, the survey will draw responses from professionals and employers across the leisure marine, superyacht, maritime and commercial marine industries.

James Ward, managing director at Marine Resources, says: “Our aim is to create a clear and independent snapshot of where the industry stands today.

“By gathering insights from every corner of the marine and maritime world, we can better understand the opportunities and challenges shaping our sector.”

In addition to the individual responses, Marine Resources will collaborate with marine businesses to collect confidential salary and role data, resulting in a representative overview of the market.

The firm emphasises that all contributions are anonymous and maintained with strict confidentiality for both individuals and companies.

The findings are expected to form the basis of the 2026 Marine Industry Salary & Employment Report, due early next year, which will be part of the benchmark report that the industry can refer to.

The survey can be accessed on the Marine Resources website.
