MarineMax quietly moves its headquarters out of Clearwater
An aerial view of a marina owned by MarineMax.US boat dealer MarineMax has relocated its Florida headquarters from Clearwater to an approximately 40,000-square-foot space within the same office park as Nielsen Media Research at 501 Brooker Creek Blvd. in Oldsmar, according to the general contractor responsible for the build out.
Orlando-based Interstruct Design + Build managed the construction, as noted by company president Matt Coticchio in a LinkedIn post.
MarineMax updated its headquarters address in regulatory filings in August 2024 but did not issue a formal announcement. MIN has approached the firm for a comment and has not yet received a reply.
Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that the new headquarters is situated in an office park built in 2003 and owned by Delaware-based Wilmington Trust Co., according to Pinellas County property records. JLL represented Wilmington Trust, while Chris Butler of Franklin Street represented MarineMax in the transaction.
According to Coticchio’s LinkedIn post, the build was completed in two phases. The first covered 30,000 square feet in Building A of the Nielsen Media Center, while the second involved 10,000 square feet in Building C. Other firms involved in the project included Asd Sky Architects, Kimley-Horn and Relofant.
MarineMax reported $2.4bn in revenue in 2024, positioning it among the largest public companies in the Tampa Bay region. In Marinemax’s 2025 Q1 financial results, the firm reported revenue of $468.5m, with same-store sales down 11 per cent year-on-year – a reflection of the impact of a challenged retail market environment and the impact of hurricanes Helene and Milton, which affected the company’s locations along Florida’s west coast.
The company has been expanding, most recently acquiring Marathon-based Shelter Bay Marine for an undisclosed amount. In 2022, it significantly grew its marina business with a $480m acquisition of Fort Lauderdale-based Island Global Yachting.
