MDL adds holiday homes to Ipswich marina site

MDL says strong demand for its lodges at its Woolverstone Marina and Lodge Park means eight new luxury lodges have been added to the 22-acre riverside site. Six are available to purchase as holiday homes under a 15-year licence, with an optional five-year extension.

The lodges provide accommodation for groups of four to eight and bring the total number of lodges onsite for holidays to 29.

The scheme was first opened in 2017 under the MDL Holidays brand.

“With the addition of these eight new lodges, this summer we’re looking forward to welcoming even more people to our picturesque haven here at Woolverstone, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life,” says Shane Cheshire, marina manager at Woolverstone Marina and Lodge Park.

“A home away from home, the lodges are ideal for anything from a quiet mini-break to a fun-filled family holiday, as there’s something for everyone close by, from scenic nature walks along the river to skiing or climbing at the nearby Suffolk Leisure Park.

“Owners and guests at our lovely lodges also enjoy easy access to the water, with a sailing school located nearby at the Royal Harwich Yacht Cub and yacht chartering closer to town, ensuring a fun time on the water as well as on land.”
