MDL offers rewards for UK marina visits

MDL Dock & Discover

MDL Marinas has launched a new campaign to encourage domestic cruising across its UK marina network during the 2025 boating season. The initiative, called Dock & Discover, is designed to provide participating boaters with the opportunity to receive rewards for overnight stays at MDL’s sites.

The campaign comes as domestic travel continues to show signs of growth. According to VisitBritain’s May 2025 Domestic Sentiment Tracker, 78 per cent of UK adults intend to take at least one overnight trip within Britain over the next 12 months.

MDL Marinas operates 18 sites across the South West, South Coast, Thames and East Coast. The Dock & Discover programme will run until the end of September 2025, with rewards linked to the number and location of overnight visits made by participants.

Otium members will be issued an Explorer’s Card, which will be stamped at each MDL location they visit overnight.

Boaters taking part must be members of MDL’s Otium loyalty programme, which is free to join and already offers benefits on marina services and berthing. For this campaign, Otium members will be issued an Explorer’s Card, which will be stamped at each MDL location they visit overnight.

Those who collect four stamps will be entered into a draw for a £100 voucher to use at an MDL marina restaurant. Six overnight visits provide the chance to win a three-night break at an MDL holiday park. Collecting ten stamps qualifies members for entry into a draw for a holiday for two. Additional entries are available for those who collect 12 stamps or visit marinas in different regions.

“Dock & Discover is designed to give our berth holders and visitors an added reason to cast off and cruise,” says Tim Mayer, sales and marketing director at MDL Marinas. “It’s about celebrating the best of UK cruising, rewarding exploration and helping boaters get even more from their time on the water.”
