Mike Sommerfeld to lead growth of Aquamare Marine USA

Aquamare Marine USA, authorised dealers and service centres for brands including Opacmare, Planus and Energy Solutions, will soon be joined on the south coast of Florida by Mike Sommerfeld, Director of sister company, Aquamare Marine.

Mike will be relocating in January 2020 to manage the company’s expansion.

Aquamare Marine USA currently employs 10 people but is looking to expand.

“Our expansion plans now include a state-of-the-art workshop, 150-foot hanger space, recruiting more skilled staff and growing our dealer network,” says Mike.

Mike will take the lead on the business development side while Declan Sexton, Vice President, focuses on the day-to-day management of the US operations.

“Over the last year we have had to grow our UK management team in line with the business needs. Mike’s relocation is an essential step towards growing our US team to match the growth we’re seeing there,” says Jason Burdett, Aquamare Marine Director.
