Military patrol boat given new leisure identity
Onda Tenders has adapted its Magna patrol boat, giving it a leisure identity as the 341P.
With the expertise from Scandinavian father and son design team, Ted and Ocke Mannerfelt, the RIB now provides the same seakeeping ability as the Magna but with improved aesthetics. Made with materials designed to elevate comfort levels, the vessel is suitable as a superyacht tender or standalone leisure boat.
“As the 341P was originally a patrol boat, we asked Mannerfelt Team to be mindful of this and to give it a ‘rugged’ feel that is distinct from Onda’s other models. Although the boat is very comfortable, with premium materials and details throughout, it still has a cool, military identity at its core. A great example is the striking aluminium seat frames, in contrast to the fiberglass ones on our 331GT model,” comments George Riginos, Onda Tenders CEO.
The newly reconfigured deck has a modular design with various layout choices. Clients can opt for a hardtop or open scheme, with a number of sun pad and sofa arrangements. There is a shower on the aft deck, supplied by a 100 litre freshwater tank. The 341P is available in a range of colours and metallic finishes, including a black hull, tubes and deck hardware for a more stealth look. There is a choice of teak decking with three caulking options, or synthetic Sea-Dek in four colours.
Previously adopted for military operations around the globe, the 341P has a deep-V hull with single ventilated step and a 61-degree bow deadrise and is engineered to be able to tackle adverse weather conditions.
Twin 350hp outboard engines facilitate speeds of up to 50 knots in rough conditions, and faster in calmer waters. The 0.56 m draft allows for shallow water exploration and manoeuvres.
The 341P comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
