Mini Mesh revamp for Great Haywood Marina

Dura Composites says it has replaced decking with GRP at Lakeland Leisure’s Great Haywood Marina. This latest completion marks over 10,000sqm of the company’s Mini Mesh Grating successfully designed, supplied and installed in its longstanding collaboration with the leisure estates business. Other recent installations have taken place at Barton, Saul Junction and Tattenhall Marinas.

Degrading to the timber deck had occurred so Dura Composites says its GRP Mini Mesh was the perfect solution for the client as it offers non-corrosion, non-conductive and anti-slip properties that far outstripped the previous failing timber. Each of the Great Haywood moorings come with a 16-amp electricity supply, so Dura says moorers can now feel even safer knowing electricity can’t pass through the jetty covering.

“With its 60-year design life, our Mini Mesh Grating has future-proofed this marina, so it can be enjoyed by all, for generations to come,” says Dean Fuller, marine manager at Dura. “Lakeland Leisure, who are pioneers in the industry, were once again grateful for the support and guidance. We look forward to working closely with them again in the future on other marinas that also need our non-corrosive, anti-slip GRP.”
