Nautor Swan reveals new yacht lines and plans for US sailing

Sanlorenzo’s Finnish brand Nautor Swan has unveiled plans for two new product lines alongside a partnership with the American Magic Team, aiming to expand its presence in the American market.
The product lines include super-maxis over 40 metres constructed from aluminium and a pure cruising range designed for long-range comfort. The developments were presented by CEO Giovanni Pomati at boot Düsseldorf, during the brand’s annual networking drinks.
Antonio Santella, senior advisor for new product development, highlighted the focus on core values such as aesthetics, comfort, long-range capability and sustainability, incorporating solutions like hydrogeneration. A committee including renowned designer German Frers, Massimo Perotti and Leonardo Ferragamo, with contributions from Jüdel & Vrolijk Studio, will guide the development of these yachts.

The partnership with American Magic involves a shared calendar of events for the ClubSwan 28, launching a US fleet and exploring technological advancements. Pomati stated: “I am particularly pleased to announce to this international audience the agreement we’ve reached with American Magic, a team full of talent in every sector. We needed a partner who shares our vision and values, and reenergising sailing in America is our challenge, both commercially and technologically.”
Terry Hutchinson, president of sailing operations for American Magic, expressed the team’s mission to inspire future generations while advancing sailing innovation and performance through America’s Cup learnings.
During the industry gathering at boot, Federico Michetti, head of Nautor Swan sport activities, previewed the upcoming racing season, featuring the new ClubSwan 28 in major regattas alongside other one-design classes and rating boats. The season includes notable events such as the debut of the ClubSwan 28 in Monaco (March 6-9), the Swan One Design World Championships in Porto Cervo (June 17-21), and The Nations Trophy in St. Tropez (October 8-12), among others. Additional races include regional series in the Mediterranean, Nordic regions, North America, Solent and Asia.
