New CEO at Simpson Marine

Daniele Lucà CEO of Simpson Marine

Sanlorenzo has appointed Daniele Lucà as chief executive officer of Asia-Pacific-based yacht sales and services company Simpson Marine.

Lucà will report to Massimo Perotti, executive chairman of Italian boating giant Sanlorenzo, and will oversee operations and strategic business development in the Asia-Pacific region through the company’s subsidiary, Simpson Marine. His focus will be on consolidating the presence of the Sanlorenzo, Bluegame and Nautor Swan brands in the APAC region.

Lucà has been sales director of the yacht business unit since September 2023, leading commercial operations across the EMEA, APAC, NAFTA and LATAM markets.

“The appointment of Daniele Lucà, a manager who has proven over the years to be driven by passion, commitment, professionalism and vision, is an important step for our growth in the APAC market, a fast-growing region where we are focused on further developing the Sanlorenzo, Bluegame and Nautor Swan brands,” says Perotti. “With Daniele’s new leadership and alongside the entire Simpson Marine team, which boasts excellent knowledge of the high-end yachting industry, market dynamics and a widespread presence in key territories, I am confident that we will seize the growth opportunities we have set for the company.”

Lucà adds: “I am proud of the trust our chairman and the entire Sanlorenzo board have placed in me by giving me the opportunity to lead the growth and success in the APAC region through Simpson Marine, which has been recognised for its excellence for 40 years. We will strengthen our presence in this region by further elevating the positioning of our brands and increasing market awareness of our product range. We will focus on expanding our distribution network, improving our service levels to further increase customer satisfaction, and integrating strategic partners in key markets.”

Lucà’s appointment is part of an organisational restructuring at Sanlorenzo, after the firm acquired Simpson Marine in 2023 and Nautor Swan in 2024.

In March, Sanlorenzo presented its full-year financial results for the year ending 31 December 2024, confirming record revenue and profitability levels. Net revenues from the sale of new yachts reached €930.4m, an increase of 10.7 per cent compared to 2023. Group net profit was recorded at €103.1m, up 11.1 per cent compared to 2023, exceeding the upper end of the 2024 guidance range of €99-101m.
