New naval architect at Walker Marine Design

Hamble-based Walker Marine Design (WMD) has expanded its team with the addition of Matthew Nash, joining as a naval architect.

Matthew Nash studied yacht design and production, together with engineering at Southampton Solent University.

“I am thrilled have joined what I believe is the UK’s leading light in small ship design,” says Nash. “WMD’s ground-breaking semi-SWATH design, which is currently operating as a CTV, is one aspect that I will greatly look forward to helping to roll out across many new sectors as it is very versatile.”

James Walker, principal naval architect of WMD, comments: “We are delighted to welcome Matthew to Walker Marine Design. Matthew complements the team by bringing his own innovative approach, as clearly demonstrated by his final year design dissertation being a singlehanded-operated 24m motor yacht. Matthew will work closely with myself and our design team on a range of exciting projects for clients old and new.”
