Nimbus Group adds dealer in Spain

Swedish boatbuilder Nimbus Group has signed a dealer agreement with A&P Marine, a dealer based in Spain, for the sale of Nimbus brand boats along the Costa Blanca coast.
A&P Marine is based in Denia, Valencia, approximately 130 kilometres northeast of Alicante, and operates along the coastline from Denia to Altea. The company is family-owned and provides boat sales, maintenance, service and repairs.
“Spain and the Costa Blanca coast are highly interesting markets for Nimbus Group’s premium products, not least our boats under the Nimbus brand. Nimbus Group has a clear growth strategy, and expanding our dealer network is a crucial part of this. We are very pleased to welcome A&P Marine to our network of successful dealers,” says Nicklas Bergström, director for commercial sales at Nimbus.
Under the agreement, A&P Marine has the right to sell Nimbus brand boats along the Costa Blanca coast. The company provides services at marinas in Denia, Moraira, Calpe and Altea.
In October 2024, MIN reported that Nimbus was closing its Finnish production facilities in Kuopio and Luoto and restructuring.
In February 2025, the Swedish boatbuilder posted a sales decrease of 24 per cent to SEK273m (£19.93m) during the fourth quarter of 2024. In a statement, the firm attributed this decline to a “continued wait-and-see market” but highlighted signs of a positive turn forthcoming in the market conditions.
The same month, Nimbus Group’s CEO, Jan-Erik Lindström, announced that he will retire during 2025. Lindström informed the company’s board that he intends to retire this year, after 15 years in the company.
Nimbus Group produces and markets powerboats under brands including Alukin, Aquador, EdgeWater, Falcon, Flipper, Nimbus and Paragon Yachts, selling through dealer networks in the Nordic region, Europe and the USA. In 2023, it expanded in North America with the acquisition of EdgeWater Power Boats, and in 2024, reported SEK1,619m (£124.7m) in sales with 377 employees across Sweden, Finland, Poland, England, Norway and the USA.
