Nimbus Group appoints Christina Evans as deputy managing director

Swedish leisure motorboat manufacturer Nimbus Group has appointed Christina Evans as deputy managing director. Evans is expected to take up the role by February 2026 at the latest.
Evans most recently served as chief commercial officer at Finnish boatbuilder Axopar, where she was responsible for sales, brand and marketing, product management and the commercial dealer business.
Evans has been CCO at Axopar since 2021 and has previously held several positions within the automotive industry, including as marketing manager within Volvo Trucks.
The news continues a leadership shakeup at Nimbus, which recently appointed Johan Inden as its new chief executive officer, effective 1 September 2025, after Lindström informed the board earlier this year of his intention to retire.
“In Christina Evans, we bring in a person with solid commercial experience and a genuine understanding of our industry and its conditions,” says Jan-Erik Lindström, CEO of Nimbus Group. “With her background, she brings experience and knowledge that will serve Nimbus Group very well in its continued strategic execution, particularly in terms of developing our commercial business and our focus on the premium segment.”
In addition to her responsibilities as deputy CEO, Evans will take over leadership of Nimbus Group’s commercial sales division. The current head of the unit, Nicklas Bergström, has also announced plans to leave the company.
Evans says: “I am grateful to have been with Axopar during an incredibly exciting growth journey and now look forward to my new job and to contributing to the continued development of Nimbus Group and its business.”
Nimbus Group designs and markets powerboats under the brands Alukin, Aquador, EdgeWater, Falcon, Flipper, Nimbus and Paragon Yachts. Its largest markets are the Nordic region, Europe and the US.
The company acquired US-based EdgeWater Power Boats in 2023. It employs 377 staff across operations in Sweden, Finland, Poland, England, Norway and the US.
Nimbus Group reported a 13 per cent decline in net sales for the first quarter of 2025, amounting to SEK 300m (£23.4m), compared to SEK 344m (£26.8m) during the same period in 2024. Organic growth was also negative at -13 per cent, with the firm attributing ongoing economic uncertainty to the figures.
