Nimbus Group restructures North America operations

Swedish leisure motorboat manufacturer Nimbus Group is implementing a series of organisational measures within its North American operations to strengthen commercial capability and reduce costs.

It has been a challenging couple of years for Nimbus Group, which reported net sales of SEK 263m ($28.93m) during a “challenging” third quarter of 2025, a decrease of 30 per cent compared with the same period in 2024.

In December 2025, chief financial officer Rasmus Alvemyr confirmed his plans to leave the company after seven years in the position. He will continue in the role during the recruitment process for his successor. The firm has since consolidated commercial leadership, retail leadership, aftermarket and marketing into a single function.

According to the latest shakeup, announced on Thursday (15 January 2026), Dave Patnaude will become head of US operations, reporting to Christina Evans, deputy CEO and chief commercial officer. In a statement, the group confirmed it is consolidating boat production under the Nimbus brand in Europe as part of a wider capacity optimisation programme.

Following this decision, operations in EdgeWater, Florida, will focus exclusively on producing boats under the EdgeWater brand. The business will continue as an independent profit centre within the group. Administrative, finance and marketing functions will be coordinated to improve efficiency across the region.

“North America is one of our most important markets. These measures will increase our commercial capabilities, reduce our costs, and clarify responsibilities within the organisation. Operating with defined P&L responsibility and maintaining close proximity to our customers is essential to reversing the negative trajectory reported in Q3 2025 and for securing sustainable long-term growth,” says CEO Johan Inden, who joined the firm in May 2025.

Evans is working closely with the regional organisation and dealer network to support business development.
