Norco opens its doors to showcase secrets of composite manufacturing
Norco Composites & GRP is holding an open day at its new dedicated CNC machining and kitting facility in Poole for visitors.
The idea is to provide an opportunity for customers and industry partners to explore the facility, meet the team, and learn more about Norco’s manufacturing capabilities. (It’s on 6 February 2024).
Norco’s says the new facility represents a significant investment in its CNC machining and kitting operations.
The company recently expanded its CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and kit cutting capabilities to boost its internal manufacturing capability and extend these services to external customers. Norco says that it’s experiencing a growing demand for precision machining solutions as there’s been a transition from internal to external demand over the past five years.
“Our recent investments reflect Norco’s commitment to staying at the forefront of composite manufacturing technology,” says Mark Northey, Norco’s MD. “By expanding our CNC and kit cutting capabilities, we can not only meet the needs of our internal projects but also offer these precision services to external customers who value quality and efficiency.”
Visitors will get to see the advanced CNC equipment including 3 & 5-axis CNC machines, conveyor-fed kit cutters, and advanced waterjet cutting technology. Plus there’ll be live demonstrations of key processes.
“We are looking forward to inviting our customers and industry partners to see our new facility in action,” says Dan Whitelock, business development manager. “This open day is a great opportunity to showcase the investments we’ve made in advanced technology and how we’re supporting our clients with precision and innovation.”
The event is open to current and prospective customers, industry professionals, and anyone interested in learning more about Norco’s manufacturing services. Attendance is free, but spaces are limited and visitors need to register online.
