Stunning ocean footage released by Insta360

Footage has been released by Insta360, which shows incredible 360 views of the stars, the Milky Way, and earth. The company says this is the first time a 360° action camera has reached space.

This latest venture, bringing images of the ocean as never seen before, comes in collaboration with Media Storm and SAR satellite company Spacety. The project began in July 2021 and took 12 months to modify the action cameras, including six months of R&D. The solar-powered satellite was initially scheduled to launch in 2022 but had to be postponed due to covid.

Earlier this year, Insta360 launched Shadowstone, its X3 Full Stealth diving package equipped with a new generation of underwater shooting accessories, which it says achieves 0-obstruction viewing and 0 bottom blind spots underwater.
