Oceania Cruises latest ship in build in Italy

Oceania Cruises says the first of two new 1,200-guest Allura Class ships that are being constructed by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri S.p.A. will be called Vista and will set sail in 2023. Inaugural voyages open for sale in September 2021.

The company says Vista is ‘a marvel in the making’ and will have two staff members for every three guests.

The grand dining room, says Oceania, soars almost two decks in height and pays homage to the ‘beautiful age’ of the early 20th Century Parisian society through its contemporary interpretation of Belle Époque.

Currently under construction by in Italy, Vista measures approximately 67,000 gross registered tons, will accommodate 1,200 guests and be staffed by 800 officers and crew. An unnamed sister ship will debut in 2025.
