Omaya Yachts lands Spanish foothold with MXG Yachts deal
Omaya Yachts is strengthening its presence in Europe with the appointment of MXG Yachts as its newest dealer in Spain. Covering both mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands, the partnership reflects the builder’s ambition to establish a broad international network while tapping into one of the world’s most active and family-focused yachting regions.
Why Spain is a strategic fit for Omaya catamarans
“The Spanish coastline is one of the world’s most vibrant yachting regions which we believe our catamarans, designed for effortless enjoyment, are perfectly suited to,” says Kaloyan Radulov, CEO of Omaya Yachts. “We look forward to seeing more families and owners experience the Omaya philosophy through this partnership.”
MXG Yachts is the result of a partnership between Mediterranean Yachts in Mallorca and Pier Zero Yachts in Marbella that began over a decade ago. The companies have an established track record of representing the luxury shipyards in Spain and successfully introducing new and upcoming brands to the region.
The partnership centres on Omaya’s debut model, the Omaya 50. The power catamaran’s exterior areas, both covered and open, make it particularly well-suited to the Spanish climate and the region’s family-oriented boating culture.
“We have visited the first Omaya 50 a number of times now and are extremely impressed with the quality of the yacht overall,” says Alan Gulliver, director of MXG Yachts. “The finishes and attention to detail are excellent, and the use of space is fantastic. Every element of the design feels thoughtful and practical. The end result is a yacht that we really believe offers much more in terms of quality, features and comfort than other yachts in this size.”

Rising demand for spacious, stable catamarans
The appointment comes at a time of growing demand for catamarans in the Spanish market. MXG Yachts reports a clear trend toward larger yachts with more space, with many buyers increasingly considering catamarans as an alternative to traditional monohulls. The natural stability of catamaran designs offers similar benefits to expensive stabilisation systems, making them an attractive proposition for owners seeking comfort without the additional cost, it says.
“We are delighted to represent Omaya’s catamarans in Spain,” adds fellow director Andy McDougall. “As an exciting new brand, Omaya brings a fresh approach to luxury yachting, combining contemporary design, innovative layouts, and exceptional craftsmanship. With an expanding range of premium catamarans on the horizon, Omaya is poised to make a strong impact in the global market.”
The company announced a slew of dealer agreements in 2025, including one in Greece and partnering with Camino al Mare in Mexico.
With offices in Marbella and Mallorca, MXG Yachts brings deep regional knowledge and established market access as Omaya looks to build momentum behind its growing catamaran range. As demand for larger, more comfortable multihulls continues to rise across the Mediterranean, the partnership positions both companies to capitalise on shifting owner preferences in the Spanish market.
