Patrick Coote appointed worldwide president of Denison Yachting

Denison Yachting has appointed Patrick Coote as its worldwide president following the completion of a partnership with OceanWorld Group, now the company’s majority shareholder.

Coote will lead Denison’s international growth strategy. The company plans to invest in its existing operations and make targeted acquisitions to expand its brokerage, dealership and other yachting activities. Further investment is planned in the US, alongside expansion and recruitment across Europe and the GCC.

Coote has more than 25 years of senior-level experience in the superyacht industry, with previous leadership roles at Fraser Yachts, Northrop & Johnson, Azimut-Benetti Group and Blohm+Voss. Most recently, he worked across the brands in MarineMax’s superyacht division.

His background covers yacht sales and brokerage, charter, yacht management, new-build construction and refit, as well as international business development and marketing.

Coote says: “Denison is one of those rare names in yachting that combines genuine heritage with enormous potential for the future. The company has built an outstanding business in the United States, an exceptional reputation among its clients and, importantly, an incredibly strong team. The opportunity now is to build on those foundations and develop Denison on a truly international scale.”

Coote will oversee Denison’s global brokerage division, working alongside CEO Bryan Braley.

Denison is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and has more than 75 years of history in yachting. It provides yacht and superyacht sales, charter, yacht management, crew services and new-construction expertise.

OceanWorld operates across Europe, the Middle East and the US. Its activities include yacht sales and brokerage, charter, management, crewing, manufacturing and marine services.
