Luxury British shipyard, Pearl Yachts, has unveiled plans for the refreshed Pearl 73 at boot Düsseldorf, the world’s largest indoor boat show.
The Pearl 73 will continue the design language established by the award-winning Pearl 72 and combine the skills of naval architect Bill Dixon and interior designer Kelly Hoppen CBE.
Dixon Yacht Design has reinterpreted the exterior with a sleeker, sharper profile, creating an elegant exterior that aligns the 73 with the latest generation of Pearl Yachts. Expect more glazing, a Riviera-inspired aft deck concept and, inside, a new monochrome décor scheme.
The new Riviera-style aft deck incorporates fold-down balconies, creating an extended waterside terrace ideal for relaxing, dining or entertaining.
The hull windows have been expanded offering more natural light within. Details across the deck spaces include upgraded tables, refreshed wet bars and helm ergonomics.
Iain Smallridge, managing director of Pearl Yachts, says: “The Pearl 73 is a yacht that truly encapsulates the Pearl ethos: it is an evolution, not a revolution. We have taken a winning formula in the Pearl 72 and elevated it, guided by the invaluable feedback from our owners and our deep understanding of the market. The introduction of the Riviera-style aft deck and the aft galley layout is a direct response to the way modern owners live and entertain on board. It creates a seamless connection between the interior and the sea, which is at the heart of the yachting experience.
“To present this new project at boot Düsseldorf, a stage we share with the world’s finest, is a moment of great pride. We are confident that the Pearl 73 will be another jewel in our crown, and we look forward to welcoming clients and press to our stand to share our vision for the future.”
Aft deck layout
Outdoor living remains central to the Pearl experience – the 73’s aft deck, complete with its fold-down balconies, forms a wide open, unobstructed platform overlooking the sea. Steps lead up to the full-length flybridge, protected by the hard top with its adjustable tilt-and-slide sunroof. Forward, the bow lounge features sofas, sunpads and an optional bimini.
The new main deck: galley aft, social by design
The Pearl 73 introduces a new main deck arrangement with the galley positioned aft, creating a natural hub between the cockpit and the interior saloon. The saloon benefits from full-height windows and clean architectural lines, maintaining the sense of openness characteristic of the Pearl 72.
Moving forward beneath the brand’s signature double windscreen, the helm area is accompanied by a dinette and optional side deck access door.
Accommodation wise, the Pearl 73 offers two master cabins – one forward with private access and one full-beam amidships, plus two additional ensuite guest cabins and accommodation for two crew.
The garage can accomodate a William 345 tender (or similar) and a jet ski.
Customers can select from a range of powerful engine configurations. The standard power option is the 1400HP MAN V12 or the optional MAN V12 with 1550HP.
Pearl says that latter engine option tops out at a claimed 32 knots, with a cruising speed of 25 knots for a range of approximately 250 nautical miles.
The introduction of the monochrome interior scheme marks a new chapter in the collaboration between Pearl Yachts and Kelly Hoppen Interiors. This design concept brings a sophisticated palette of greys, off-whites and charcoals, balanced by rich textures, architectural details and reflective surfaces.
As with all models in the Pearl range, the new Pearl 73 comes with the shipyard’s five-year warranty.
