Ethics policy for Marine Industry News

Marine Industry News (MIN) aims to apply high ethical standards to everything it produces. This policy statement defines MIN’s goals in this area and the manner in which it implements these standards.

MIN‘s goals

  • To act fairly, honestly and with integrity at all times and in everything that MIN does, and to comply with all applicable laws.
  • To treat employees, clients, contractors and suppliers and other stakeholders fairly and with respect.
  • To create an equal opportunity working environment for all employees, based on merit and free from discrimination, bullying and harassment.
  • To provide relevant information to stakeholders in a transparent, accurate and timely basis.

Policy Implementation

Marine Industry News‘ ethical matters are overseen by the publisher, with input from the managing editor and other members of staff. MIN works within appropriate procedures and guiding principles to aim to deliver fairness.

Code of conduct

Every Marine Industry News employee endeavours to:

  • Comply with the law in all jurisdictions in which Marine Industry News operates.
  • Not offer, request or accept any bribe or other corrupt or improper payment or benefit.
  • Not make use of insider or unpublished information to trade companies’ shares or securities.

  • Report to line management any behaviour that they believe may not be in accordance with the code of conduct or this ethics policy statement.
  • Act as a custodian of MIN’s stakeholders’ assets and interests.
