Feedback policy for Marine Industry News

Marine Industry News (MIN) encourages meaningful conversations between readers and the team.

MIN considers actions based on readers’ suggestions, complaints, and other feedback. Sometimes that means MIN edits or develops a story or coverage, answers questions, or identifies related issues. Readers are always credited where applicable.

MIN believes that it has a responsibility to engage with readers and advertisers on values, issues, and ideas pertinent to the marine industry, and that as a news organisations it has much to gain from feedback.

MIN interacts with reader feedback in several ways

Contact information. MIN promotes the editorial team and the advertising department’s emails across the site. A contact form, on the contact page, means readers can contact MIN with direct feedback and report errors, or make suggestions, or request adjustment to articles.

Comments are open on 99 per cent of MIN’s articles. Marine Industry News moderates comments, messages and content submitted by readers to ensure that no defamatory content is posted. MIN aims to publish comments within 24 hours of them being posted.

MIN‘s phone number is also on the website. The team is proud of keeping openness as a priority, in line with the nature of the open platform.
