Porto Montenegro appoints new CEO

Adriatic Marinas has announced Andrea Eggers as chief executive officer of Porto Montenegro, as David Margason focuses his leadership on the continued growth and expansion of Adriatic 42 in Bijela.

Adriatic Marinas has appointed Andrea Eggers as chief executive officer of Porto Montenegro. She succeeds David Margason, who will focus on driving the growth and expansion of Adriatic 42 in Bijela.

Eggers brings nearly two decades of international leadership experience across mixed-use, retail, and lifestyle destinations. Prior to joining Adriatic Marinas, she served as retail portfolio director for Austria and Germany and general manager at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, where she was responsible for the strategic and commercial performance of a multi-asset portfolio, delivering sustained growth, high occupancy levels and enhanced customer and tenant experiences.

Commenting on her appointment, Eggers says: “It is a privilege to lead a project that has become an important part of Montenegro’s international tourism, investment and yachting profile. From my first days here, I have been struck by the warmth, energy and strong sense of community that define Porto Montenegro. It is much more than a marina or a destination, it is a place shaped by its homeowners, yacht owners, residents, guests, partners and the dedicated people who bring it to life every day. Porto Montenegro will always remain a place for the community and the people of Tivat and Montenegro, just as much as it is for international visitors.”

Throughout her career, Andrea has held senior leadership roles across portfolio management, leasing, marketing, operations, hospitality and destination development. Recognised for building high-performing teams and creating commercially successful destinations, she brings extensive expertise in asset management, placemaking, strategic partnerships and premium customer experiences.

“I join with great respect for everything that has already been achieved and with genuine excitement for what comes next. My priority is to ensure that Porto Montenegro continues to deliver exceptional experiences while remaining a place where people feel welcome, connected and proud to belong. Together with our outstanding team, we will continue to pursue excellence in everything we do while creating long-term value for our community, our partners and Montenegro.”

In her new role, Eggers will oversee destination development, international promotion and sustainability initiatives, while maintaining partnerships with local government and regional business stakeholders.
