Record visitor numbers at the annual Limassol Boat Show

The Limassol Boat Show was opened with a scissor snip and welcomed 25,000 visitors over the four day show

This year’s event went beyond all expectations with a record attendance exceeding 25,000 visitors.

The largest boat show on Cyprus, featuring yachts, activities and demonstrations on water, as well as recreational fishing products, was completed with remarkable success on Sunday, 6th of May. Limassol Boat Show, which took place at Limassol Marina from the 3rd to the 6th of May 2018, hosted more than 120 exhibitors from eight different countries and presented more than ten seminars, live water demonstrations and hundreds of products, marking a record attendance that exceeded 25,000 visitors.

It is also worth mentioning that amongst the visitors who attended the Limassol Boat Show, many came to Cyprus exclusively on the occasion of Limassol Boat Show, which confirms and underlines the importance of this event for the island. Moreover, many exhibitors expressed their enthusiasm for the commercial success of the event, as well as their satisfaction with this year’s organisation. Both the visitors at ΤΡΑΚΑΣΟΛ Cultural Centre and those exhibiting their products at the outdoor stands of Limassol Marina confirmed that, during the 4-day event, they had the opportunity to meet potential clients, completing trade and commercial agreements.

As far as the organisers are concerned, Mr Aristos Aristidou, Director of Dacor Advertising & Media Ltd, states: “We are delighted that both visitors and exhibitors expressed their satisfaction and enthusiasm for this year’s event. We made a huge collective effort with Limassol Marina’s management and personnel, and I do believe that we have achieved the desired effect. This boat show has made a major leap forward, paving the way for international recognition, thus responding to its initial objective. For this reason, we would like to thank all our sponsors, exhibitors and visitors who have honoured us with their presence.”

On behalf of Limassol Marina, Mr Nikiforos Pampakas, Commercial and Marketing Manager, states: “The tremendous international success of Limassol Boat Show has proved once again that Limassol is now officially on the world yachting map”.

The crowds came out for this year’s Limassol Boat Show

Following the successful completion of Limassol Boat Show 2018, the organisers and many exhibitors have already started planning Limassol Boat Show 2019, which will take place from the 9th to the 12th of May 2019. For next year, the organisers have already set a new objective: a greater and upgraded edition of Limassol Boat Show.

Since launching in July 2010, Limassol Marina has been ahead of the curve and met the increasing demand for luxury waterside residences through the creation of a new yachting hotspot that caters to the wish lists of high net worth individuals. The marina was the first in the country to offer stopovers for superyachts benefiting both second-home owners and permanent residents after it opened to the public in 2014.

Epitomising the essence of ‘living on the sea’, a mere stroll from the city centre, the villas are also just metres away from the beach, and the development’s dining, shopping, fitness, leisure and cultural facilities. Brands such as Graff, Ralph Lauren and Zilli are testament to the development’s credentials as a key European destination for superyacht owners.

Prices for villas with private berth(s) start from €2,9 million and Castle Residences apartments, surrounded by water, start from €1,7 million complete facilities such as property management, concierge and rental.
