Recruiter Marine Resources restructures to drive refit, service and production growth

UK-based specialist marine recruitment firm Marine Resources has announced the launch of its newly restructured Production, Refit & Service division – an evolution designed to meet the changing demands of the marine sector.
Previously known as ‘skilled trades’, the newly rebranded ‘Production, Refit & Service’ division now aligns with industry-standard terminology, reflecting Marine Resources’ broader scope and the evolving markets.
By expanding beyond traditional skilled trades, the company aims to be better equipped to deliver a wide range of workforce solutions, supporting the diverse talent needs of boatbuilding, refit, and service operations.
The division now supports diverse positions, from production managers and project leaders to boatyard operatives and specialist technicians, reflecting the industry’s growing need for technical expertise and strong leadership.
Heading up the division is Sarah Thorn, a recruitment consultant with five years of industry experience (pictured above). “The marine industry has evolved significantly in recent years, and this restructuring is a direct response to those changes. At Marine Resources, we pride ourselves on staying ahead of industry trends, ensuring we connect the right talent with the right opportunities. I’m delighted to be leading this division and working closely with our dedicated team to support our clients and candidates,” Thorn comments.
With this strategic move, Marine Resources strives to stay ahead of industry trends, helping businesses in an ever-evolving sector. Marine Resources also partnered with Yachting Ventures last year to launch a startup advisor pool.
