Spithill was co-helmsman of the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team, which INEOS Britannia eliminated in the challenger finals. He comments: “Italy has an incredible pool of talent and a fanbase that is fiercely loyal. This team is a mix of seasoned champions and rising stars, and I can’t wait to see what they’ll achieve on the water.”

Tita will be competing in the SailGP circuit for the first time and adds: “Being part of the first Italian team in SailGP is an honour. We’re ready to make a strong debut in Dubai and are excited to race on home waters next September in Taranto.”

Based at Marina Monflacone near Trieste, the team joins 11 other nations competing across 14 global events in the 2025 SailGP season. Their home race in Taranto, Puglia, is scheduled for 6-7 September 2025 in Taranto, Puglia, with tickets available from 11 December.
