Rib Shop opens new showroom at Hamble Point Marina

Rib Shop Ltd has expanded its operations at MDL’s Hamble Point Marina in Southampton, on the UK south coast, taking on Unit 6, Firefly Road as an additional space.
The 590 sq ft unit functions as a client-facing showroom, where the company displays Honda outboards and Highfield tenders. It also provides a space for clients to discuss specifications related to retubes, refits and new RIB sales.
Rib Shop has been based at Hamble Point Marina for several years, with the new unit marking an increase in its operational footprint.
“Hamble Point Marina has been our home for a long time, and we’re thrilled to expand our operations here,” says Stephanie French, company director at Rib Shop. “The new showroom will give customers a welcoming space to explore our Honda and Highfield ranges and discuss their requirements in person.
“As our business continues to grow, having this additional, client-focused facility allows us to enhance the service we provide. We’re grateful to MDL Marinas for supporting our expansion and helping us bring this project to life.”
Rib Shop is a participating partner in MDL’s Otium loyalty scheme, which allows members to redeem points against payment for Rib Shop services. The arrangement offers MDL berth holders and Otium members the option to use accumulated points when purchasing, upgrading or maintaining their RIBs.
Debbie Burns, marina manager at Hamble Point Marina, adds: “We’re delighted to see Rib Shop expanding its operations with this new showroom. They are a valued tenant and an important part of the Hamble Point community. It’s fantastic to see their continued success, and we’re proud to support them as they take this exciting next step.”
Hamble Point Marina has 230 berths for vessels up to 30 metres and 137 dry stack berths for motorboats up to 10 metres. Located at the mouth of the River Hamble, with immediate access to the Solent, the site is used as a base for cruising to the Isle of Wight and along the South Coast.
The marina’s facilities include a 75-ton boat hoist and a range of marine services offered by its on-site tenants. It also features an on-site bar and restaurant. The nearby village of Hamble offers additional amenities, such as pubs, shops and coastal walks.
