Sanctuary Cove Boat Show 2025 reports record vessel numbers

Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) 2025 has reported record participation and exhibitor engagement during its 36th edition.
A total of 824 boats were on display at the marina on Australia’s Gold Coast — 422 on water and 402 on land — representing a nearly 10 per cent increase on the previous year. Warm, sunny weather throughout the weekend helped draw 45,865 visitors over the four days.
Organisers estimate the event generates AU$471m (US$303m) in direct commercial and tourism impact.
Key exhibits at SCIBS 2025 included the Candela C-8, an electric carbon hydrofoiling vessel from Carbon Yachts; Pazienza, an Italian-built model from Cantiere delle Marche; a AU$100m (US$64m) innovation showcase by Horizon Yachts Australia; and Riviera’s AU$50m (US$32m) display, which included two world premieres.
Many exhibitors reported strong commercial results and high interest.
Phil Candler, operations manager at Maritimo, says: “The atmosphere was vibrant and engaging, and it was perfect Gold Coast weather, which encourages customers to buy.” He noted high traffic and sales, including the launch of the reimagined M50 Flybridge and S50 Sedan Motor Yachts.
Corey Rattray-Wood, head of events at Mulpha Events, says: “We’ve had an incredible 824 boats in total — 422 on water and 402 on land, an unrivalled display for our tens of thousands of visitors and the biggest number ever for the show.”

Organisers have not confirmed the official headcount yet, but it is expected during this week.
Mark Richards, founder and CEO of Palm Beach Motor Yachts and CEO of Grand Banks, says: “The sun brought out an impressive number of people and the marina has been busy each day.” Palm Beach displayed the Palm Beach 50 and 65, while the Grand Banks 60 and the new Eastbay 60 also featured.
Stephen Milne, brand and communications director at Riviera, says: “For us, this was our largest display at SCIBS with a fleet of 12 exceptional yachts on display from 43 to 78 feet.”
He reported attendance by more than 2,000 Riviera owners and two model launches: the 4300 Sports Express and the 72 Sports Motor Yacht Series II.
Brad Verkerk, marketing manager at Navico Group, says: “We love attending SCIBS – it’s our main show of the year and kicks off all our new products and brands.” Navico launched the Simrad NSS 4, Zeus SR by B\&G and the Recon Trolling Motor, each receiving its Southern Hemisphere debut.

Luxury cars and lifestyle activations were part of the on-site experience, with brands including Lotus Cars QLD, Brisbane Peugeot and Deepal noting high-quality engagement.
The Lagoon Beach Club hosted brand activations by Gold Bullion Australia, Moët Hennessy Australia, General Motors Specialty Vehicles and Keogh’s.
Preparations are already underway for the 37th Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, scheduled to take place from 21–24 May 2026.
