Sanlorenzo introduces its largest crossover yacht to date

Sanlorenzo has introduced the SX120, the largest model in its crossover yacht range, measuring 36.6 metres with a gross tonnage of 270 GT. The vessel will make its public debut at the 2025 Cannes International Yachting Festival, scheduled from 9 to 14 September.
The SX120 is the first superyacht globally to incorporate Volvo Penta’s IPS Professional Platform. This propulsion system uses four 1,000 HP compact engines (twin engines per pod), which Sanlorenzo says are designed to offer similar performance to larger engines with improved efficiency, reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions. The system also supports integration with hybrid energy sources.
The 70 sqm beach area includes side terraces that expand the space from 40 sqm and a pop-up pool that can be covered or uncovered via a sliding mechanism on the sundeck. The design offers three-sided access to the water.

The SX120 is the latest addition to the SX range, which combines elements of traditional flybridge motoryachts with explorer-style features. The vessel features a gross tonnage of 270 GT and is built using composite materials. The yacht’s exterior and interior design have been designed in partnership with Zuccon International Project and Piero Lissoni.
The four-deck yacht has a large saloon on the main deck with a sculptural staircase made of wood and steel, a dining area open on three sides, and a master suite forward with direct access to an outdoor space that can be configured as a lounge or sundeck. The lower deck houses four guest cabins, a crew area and a small hammam. One of the guest cabins can be converted into a lounge.
The upper deck features a flexible layout that can accommodate a dining space, media room or play area. This level opens onto a lounge area connected to a sundeck via an exterior staircase. The master cabin includes a backlit decorative headboard that separates the bed area from the wardrobe space.
Volvo Penta’s IPS Professional Platform includes an Eco Mode feature that automatically adjusts engine power based on demand to lower emissions, cut fuel use and reduce mechanical wear. The propulsion system also includes a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) exhaust treatment.
Technical specifications include a maximum beam of 8 metres, guest accommodation for 10 people and crew accommodation for six. The yacht has a top speed of approximately 23 knots and an estimated range of 2,000 nautical miles at economical speed.
Sanlorenzo is based in Italy and produces yachts and superyachts across six sites, including La Spezia, Ameglia, Viareggio, Massa, Arbatax and Pisa. The group includes the Bluegame and Nautor Swan business units.
