Sanlorenzo Yachts UK has expanded its aftersales team with two new appointments.

Ross Stanley-Whyte and Roy Tidman have joined Sanlorenzo Yachts UK as aftersales managers for the Sanlorenzo and Bluegame motor yacht brands.

Ross Stanley-Whyte, who holds a degree in naval architecture, has over five years of experience crewing on superyachts, eventually rising to the position of captain. He has now transitioned to a shoreside role at Sanlorenzo Yachts UK, based at Premier’s Swanwick Marina on the river Hamble.

Marine engineer Roy Tidman brings 18 years of experience in refit/service, commissioning, and warranty projects on yachts and motorboats ranging from 20ft to 140ft in both leisure and commercial sectors. His most recent position was senior aftersales engineer for another luxury yacht manufacturer.

His expertise includes work on yachts in this sector and qualifications as an approved engineer for several recognised engine, power systems, and electronics manufacturers.

“We’re delighted to welcome Ross and Roy to our team, as we expand and build on our success of the last couple of years,” says Nick Hatfield, sales manager at Sanlorenzo Yachts UK. “As such highly skilled and qualified marine professionals, they bring extensive experience to their new roles which will enable us to exceed the levels of customer service and experience that our discerning owners have come to recognise as a pillar of the Sanlorenzo brand.”

Sanlorenzo offers customisable yachts designed to meet the specific preferences of their owners. Its portfolio includes a range of yachts, from the planing SL Series and semi-displacement SD Series to the ‘crossover’ SX Series and the Smart Performance SP Series. The yachts range from 28 to 38 metres in length, with the exterior design being the only fixed element.

Sanlorenzo will debut two new models at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, which runs from 10-15 September 2024 on the French Riviera.

Represented by Sanlorenzo Yachts UK, the SP92 and SL86A will make their world premieres at Cannes.
