Saxdor reveals new flagship

Saxdor Yachts @ Boot Dusseldorf

Finnish boatbuilder Saxdor Yachts has announced two new models: the Saxdor 460 GTC, its new flagship, and the Saxdor 320 GTWA.

The announcement of the two new models — confirmed at boot Dusseldorf during the world premiere of the new Saxdor 400 GTC — builds on the shipyard’s recent flurry of activity.

Saxdor Yachts has grown quickly since 2020, expanding its team from 30 people to more than 500 in just three years. In the same period, revenue increased 15 times. Saxdor, which recently relocated its HQ to Ruoholahti in Helsinki, says it expects to reach €100m in revenue this year.

Today, the brand’s production facilities cover more than 10,000 square metres, and are soon poised to double, as it rises to meet the increasing production demand of its growing line of motor yachts.

Having sold out all its models available for 2024, the yard is now consolidating the Finnish market by selling directly to consumers. At the same time, Saxdor says its dealer network remains robust abroad. The yard also says it intends to maintain a strong presence in the smaller end of the market — even as its range reaches up to 14m with the new Saxdor 460 GTC.

The Saxdor 400 GTC, which premiered at boot, is a 12-metre vessel designed to suit seafaring families across Europe’s diverse climates.

With the possibility to close the main deck completely with insulated glass, the Saxdor 400 GTC is suited to a range of scenarios.

As the brand prepares to extend its range with the Saxdor 460 GTC and Saxdor 320 GTWA, Saxdor used its press conference to reveal it is recommitting to its foundational pillars of ‘value, performance and design’.

The Saxdor 270 cinched the top prize in the “Sportsboats under 30ft” category of the 2024 Motor Boat & Yachting awards, revealed during boot Düsseldorf, in a a further boon for the boatbuilder.
