Sea.AI expands North American operations
Frank Lattanzi, Sea.AI’s new sales manager for the North America region
Austrian maritime technology company Sea.AI is expanding its operations in North America, with new staff and an increase in service capacity as the firm seeks to make its products more widely available across the region.
The company has appointed Frank Lattanzi as sales manager for the Americas. US-based Lattanzi has worked in maritime data and commercial roles. He most recently served as head of business development for the Americas at Pole Star Global. Before that, he held a strategic account management role at Lloyd’s List Intelligence.
The news comes after Scott Middleton was appointed head of global sales in October 2025.
“North America is a key market for Sea.AI, particularly as awareness grows around the role of machine vision in enhancing safety on the water,” says Diogo Arreda, managing director of Sea.AI. “Frank’s experience in the maritime sector makes him a strong addition to the team as we continue to scale.”
Sea.AI develops safety systems that combine optical and thermal cameras with AI-based detection. The systems are designed to identify objects that radar or AIS may not detect, including vessels, floating debris, marine mammals and people in the water. They also provide visual overlays and alerts to support navigation in a range of conditions.
The company says it has also recently expanded its administrative team and increased service and technical support capacity in North America for dealers, installers and vessel operators.
Distribution has also been widened. Selected Sea.AI systems are now available through West Marine in Florida, with the full product range offered to professional customers via West Marine Pro. Citimarine has been added as an authorised reseller.
“With increased availability and local support, it’s becoming easier for boaters and professionals alike to integrate machine vision safety into their navigation setup,” adds Arreda. “We see strong momentum worldwide as users look for practical tools that enhance awareness and confidence on the water, and we welcome inquiries from new potential partners in the US and Canada.”
