Seldén and Technical Marine Supplies workshop success

Technical Marine Supplies, with the support of Seldén Mast UK, has been hosting technical training workshops at the UK-based Seldén facility.

Due to the positive industry reaction after the first which was held in February earlier this year, two more days were offered to professional rigging companies based around the country, with people traveling from the length and breadth of the UK.

Seldén, the UK headquartered manufacturer of spars, complete sail handling systems and deck hardware, teamed up with specialist marine trade distributor Technical Marine Supplies for the workshops.

“One highlight for our customers was the factory tour, and seeing the scale of the production facility was eye opening for many of them” says Nick Cook from TMS. “Being able to offer an informal yet structured training agenda to industry professionals is a great way of sharing our knowledge and experience with the Seldén product, and certainly helps to keep Seldén as the market leader in deck up yacht equipment.”

With another two training days planned for mid-October, Cook says the programme is becoming a very successful “must attend” event for the UK rigging community.
