Sensar Marine and SailTies launch digital logbook integration

Sensar Marine and SailTies have partnered to launch a data integration that automatically records boat voyages in the SailTies digital logbook app using data from Sensar Marine’s Boat Monitor.

“We built SailTies to keep track of all your sailing experience in one place, from voyages and crewmates to vessels to certificates,” says Chris Jacobs, co-founder of SailTies. “Bringing Sensar Marine’s continuous, always-on tracking into SailTies makes it even easier to log every mile.”

The integration is available immediately to Sensar Marine customers, allowing trips recorded by the Boat Monitor, including past voyages, to be automatically imported into the SailTies app without requiring a phone on board or manual logbook entries.

The partnership adds to a series of recent updates for SailTies, which earlier this year became the preferred digital logbook for International Yacht Training students, replacing paper logbooks, and has since introduced a Crew Match feature connecting skippers and crew.

Automatic voyage logging

Sensar Marine’s Boat Monitor continuously tracks a vessel’s location and onboard systems, uploading data to the cloud. Users can now connect their Sensar Marine account to SailTies to automatically create digital voyage records, with previous trips also imported into the app.

Sensar Marine says the integration is available now through the SailTies app.
