Silver Yachts has successfully launched the 85.3m superyacht known as Project Globalfast, the second yacht from its all-aluminium Silver World Explorer series.

Australian boatbuilder Silver Yachts, which produces custom, high-performance aluminium vessels, is working with leading naval architect and designer Espen Øino as a strategic partner on the Silver World Explorer range.

The monochromatic finish was designed by Øino, who also designed Bold — the first yacht in the series, which launched in 2019. Both were constructed at the shipbuilder’s facilities on the Pearl River Delta in Guangdong Province, China.

Silver Yachts says its Explorer series has a highly efficient hull form with a top speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 17 knots. The layout has been tweaked, and the interior styled to suit the client’s taste.

Like MY Bold, Project Globalfast has a 24/7 commercial helipad, hangar and refuelling facilities, as well as a large multifunctional aft deck with an 8-tonne crane.

Project Globalfast is scheduled to be handed over to its new owner on 28 October 2022.

Earlier this year, Silver Yachts appointed Denison Yachting as its dealer for the SilverCat range of luxury catamarans in the Americas and the Caribbean. In July, the boat builder launched its first 36m SpaceCat catamaran.
