Smartgyro sets sights on USA with expansion plan

Gyro stabiliser specialist Smartgyro is expanding its presence in the US marine market by strengthening the supply chain and dealer network, creating a strategic base for stocking units in Baltimore, MD, establishing local sales support and investing in a strong presence at key exhibitions in 2022.

Smartgyro is developing new collaborations with several marine refit and installation specialists, adding to current partners: Gillen Yacht Services, Florida; New England and Carolina Bow Thruster, Connecticut; Kilker Boatworks, Alabama; Parts and Power, BVI. A new Smartgyro US sales manager will also be confirmed in Q1 and a busy show calendar aims to raise the company’s profile in the USA.

The company’s US consolidation and expansion plan follows its January 2022 announcement of seven new European dealers.

Last week, Smartgyro showcased at Miami International Boat Show and the New England Boat Show and the company plans to also have a presence at Wharf Boat and Yacht Show in March, IBEX in September and Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October.

To strengthen its links to the US sportfishing community, Smartgyro is supporting this year’s third annual MONGO Offshore Challenge as the exclusive gyro sponsor.
