SMG Distribution showcasing at Sea Angling Classic this week

Distributor of marine electronics, SMG, in partnership with Boxmarine, is showcasing a range of products including Garmin and Railblaza at the initial media event of the new Sea Angling Classic.

The event is being hosted by Ross Honey, founder of Angling Spirit, the organisation behind the World Carp Classic and World Predator Classic, and has already attracted attention from BT Sport and the BBC for TV coverage.

The three-day launch event will commence on Friday 23rd July at MDL’s Northney Marina with up to 40 boats taking to the water, including SMG’s brand ambassador Smart Fish. The main competition begins next summer where it is predicted that the biggest prize fund in UK sea angling history of £150,000 will be on offer.

With its new facility at Northney Marina, Boxmarine offers boaters daily essentials and some chandlery items, as well as access to its full range of products on its website via a touch screen display in a ‘click and collect’ style.

“We are delighted to be able to support Boxmarine with the supply of Garmin display stands that will feature an array of the latest fishfinders and chartplotters,” SMG business development manager, Nick Edgington, says. “This will ensure that Boxmarine can offer the competitors and customers with an interactive and exciting experience.”
