Superyacht sector expands for Metstrade 2025; event to fill entire RAI Amsterdam complex

Metstrade says its superyacht sector is in for significant expansion in 2025. The superyacht zone in Hall 8 is being increased as it has previously reached its capacity limits. Companies such as DAMEN, Lürssen Yachts, MB92, Pendennis Shipyard and the Australia Refit cluster are expected to showcase their refit capabilities. Metstrade estimates there is a fleet of approximately 6,000 active vessels requiring regular major works.
There will also be a dedicated superyacht stage, showcasing technologies and applications shaping the future of superyacht design, innovation, and operations. The Superyacht Forum, which is now part of the Metstrade portfolio, will continue.
There’s also going to be a new USA stage — created in partnership with NMMA, IBEX and Soundings Trade Only — to provide perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing transatlantic stakeholders.
All this means that the 37th edition of the show will occupy the entire RAI Amsterdam complex. So start breaking in those new walking boots now as all attendees know, step-counts go through the roof.
In 2024 the show received 31,824 visits from 19,779 unique visitors.
“This year’s expansion is not only about scale—it’s about responding to the complex needs of the global marine industry,” says Niels Klarenbeek, director maritime at RAI Amsterdam. “Ongoing dialogue with Metstrade’s global community shapes our show in its vital role of supporting clear communication, meaningful engagement, and innovation at every level.”
Exhibitor registration for this year is already said to be significantly ahead of schedule.
Construction materials and coatings are expected to take on greater prominence with a new zone in Hall 11. AkzoNobel is confirmed as a key exhibitor in this space. A newly announced partnership with JEC, organiser of the leading composites event in France, will bring a sharper focus on sustainable materials and innovation in composite technology.
The Boat Builder Awards will relocate to Harbour 8, to make the ceremony more accessible
“The changes we are introducing this year focus on further strengthening Metstrade’s unrivalled position as a relevant and reliable business platform for the leisure marine sector,” says Patricia Becker, exhibition manager Metstrade. “Our new identity will bring clarity across all channels, with the broader content and layout delivering tangible value for all involved.”
Metstrade runs from 18-20 November, with the Superyacht Forum taking place 17-18 November 2025. The Boat Builder Awards are on 19 November 2025.
