Superyacht sinks off Turkish coast

A superyacht was involved in an incident and began taking on water near Doganbey Island off Seferihisar in western Turkey on 29 June. The yacht is believed to be the 26-metre Kapky. Local reports indicate the superyacht started to sink at 11:00am local time.

According to Salvage and Wreck, ten people on board were rescued from the sinking vessel by the Turkish Coast Guard. As MIN went to press, it is believed local coastguard and rescue services have managed to salvage the superyacht and stop it sinking. The superyacht is beleived to have been towed into a nearby harbour.

The yacht is part of Custom Line’s Navetta 26 series.
