Teakdecking Systems moves to in-house distribution for Europe

Marine deck manufacturer Teakdecking Systems (TDS) will now manage the distribution of its deck maintenance products directly across Europe. The company says it has ended its single European master distributor model in favour of appointing a network of regional distributors to provide more localised service and support.
“This change reflects our commitment to being closer to our customers and delivering the highest standard of service across Europe,” says Richard Strauss, CEO of Teakdecking Systems. “By managing distribution directly and building a strong network of regional partners, we can better meet the needs of boatbuilders, refit yards and marine professionals.”
According to TDS, this move will allow the company to deliver faster logistics, increased product availability and improved access to its technical knowledge base.
Under the new structure, TDS’s European operation will directly supply its proprietary caulking, ECO cleaners, epoxies, sealers and tools, with technical support available to assist users with product selection and application. The company will ship from its facility in Spain.
Founded in 1983, Teakdecking Systems is an employee-owned company with operations in Florida and Spain. Its range includes teak, composite and cork decking systems, as well as associated repair and maintenance products, distributed through national and international partners.
