The Wing Group launches new subsidiary in Australia

The Wing Group has established a wholly owned subsidiary in Australia. The American-owned and Canadian headquartered company says this expansion will enhance its ability to deliver specialised solutions in security, defence and critical marine services across the southern hemisphere.
The Wing Group provides inflatable boats, liferafts, flotation, dry suits, technical apparel, and other tactical and survival solutions for recreational, commercial and military customers.
The new subsidiary will be led by Gavin Stevens, who has a background in supporting military and professional operations in complex maritime environments. Stevens will support the development of operations across Australia, New Zealand and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
Stevens says: “I’m honoured to lead The Wing Group’s Australia operations. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on enabling mission success in high-stakes maritime environments – values that align perfectly with The Wing Group’s commitment to performance, innovation, and integrity. I look forward to supporting our current local partners, building new ones and delivering real impact on the ground.”
Wing Inflatables supplies craft to organisations such as the US Army and US Navy Seals, while the technical clothing brand Mustang Survival has specialised in personal protective marine equipment since 1967.
Andrew Branagh, president of The Wing Group, adds: “The southern hemisphere is a dynamic and vital region in the global security landscape. As operational challenges evolve, it’s crucial to provide localised, hands-on support to ensure mission success. With Gavin at the helm and together with our trusted distribution partners — Calgus Maritime, Stern First, and Aquaterro — we are strengthening our ability to deliver world-class solutions tailored to the unique needs of this region.”
Through its Australian base, The Wing Group says it will offer direct regional support for government, defence and commercial clients. This includes access to equipment from the company’s brands, Wing Inflatables and Mustang Survival, as well as region-specific training and operational services.
