Torqeedo names new VP

Marine electric mobility specialist, Torqeedo has announced the appointment of Anders Hård as its vice-president of global services.

Responsible for developing Torqeedo’s international service and aftermarket sales and support strategy, Hård will also serve as an interface between Torqeedo’s customers, service partners and management, the quality team, and product management.

“Outstanding service and after-sales support is a critical component to achieving Torqeedo’s mission to create a climate-friendly future,” says Dr Michael Rummel, Torqeedo’s managing director. “We must be sure that our customers have the absolute best experience with our products, and I believe that Anders Hård is the right man to make that happen.”

Hård joins Torqeedo from Volvo Penta, where he spent 25 years in various business and operational positions, most recently focusing on aftermarket business development.

Commenting on his new appointment, Hård says: “I am excited to be part of Torqeedo, which is transforming the marine industry with environmentally responsible solutions and a new user experience.
