Turquoise Yachts announces new 51m yacht under construction

Turquoise Yachts says its latest 51m sloop pays homage to the era of the big classic yachts of the early 1900s, offering a back-to-the-roots classical sailing experience packed with contemporary comfort features.

Rainbow II began her life in the Netherlands prior to the hull being purchased by Turquoise Yachts. Since becoming a Turquoise project, the schooner platform has been redesigned by Dykstra Naval Architects as a sloop. She’s under construction in Istanbul.

As well as a full-width owner’s stateroom, there are four guest cabins: a VIP, two twins and a double, each with its own dedicated bathroom. The crew area is located forward of the mast and houses the galley, crew mess and four cabins, sleeping nine crew.

A dedicated crew entrance provides access to the foredeck. The aft deckhouse will be predominantly for crew use and houses the navigation area. While at anchor, an access to the stateroom below can be opened, so this space and the cockpit behind can double as an extended owner’s area.
