Twisted Marine acquires UK brokerage
UK-headquartered RIB and sportsboat manufacturer, Twisted, has acquired Network Yacht Brokers Dartmouth, in the latest move in the boatbuilder’s rapid expansion.
Twisted’s acquisition of Network Yacht Brokers expands the company’s marine brokerage and sales division while strengthening its presence along the UK’s south coast.
Last year, MIN reported that Twisted had acquired Scorpion RIBS. A relative newcomer to the industry, Twisted Marine was launched in 2021 in Salcombe by Charles Fawcett, who previously built Twisted automotive. In August 2022, Twisted Marine also acquired Brighton-based marine engineering business, West Marine Services Limited.
The company’s purchase of Network Yacht Brokers in Dartmouth enhances Twisted’s brokerage capabilities – the company can now offer a complete end-to-end experience for boat owners, from initial purchase through ownership and eventual resale.
“The addition of Network Yacht Brokers Dartmouth to the Twisted family is a natural progression in our growth strategy,” says Jake Cronk, director of Twisted Marine. “Dartmouth’s rich maritime heritage and strategic location makes it the perfect complement to our existing operations, allowing us to better serve our customers with the exceptional standards they’ve come to expect from the Twisted brand.”
“Network Yacht Brokers is the longest standing brokerage business at Noss Marina and was an obvious acquisition choice,” Cronk adds. “This will springboard the Twisted brokerage portfolio while also offering a Southwest local outlet for Scorpion and Northstar sales.”

The acquisition is strategically timed with Noss Marina’s £100 million investment in developments, which will create a new 232-berth marina with dry stack facilities.
“Noss is set to become a destination resort on the River Dart with Twisted positioning itself as a premier marine brokerage and concierge service at its heart,” explains Cronk. “Twisted will be the only one-stop-shop on the marina. From boat purchase and sales, to aftercare and maintenance, we have you covered.”
The Dartmouth facility will strengthen Twisted’s brokerage capabilities while benefiting from Twisted’s resources and expertise, the company says. While boat sales and brokerage remain the primary focus, the venue will also be tied to the Salcombe service division, enabling Twisted to offer OEM and main dealer engineering service to Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Honda, and Mercury customers in Dartmouth and Torbay.
