Universal Yachting launches pop-up sailing days

Chris and Melanie Warwick, principals of sea school and yacht hire business, Universal Yachting, are launching pop-up sailing days for people to enjoy safe, healthy adventures on the South Coast.

They’re hoping that the new sailing days will prove attractive to families and others, running at short notice when a good weather window ‘pops-up’. The days can be booked on a first come first served basis, for up to seven, and no previous sailing experience is needed.

Obviously the pop-up days will need to be in accordance with government restrictions, and will cost £400 per group. Interested parties need to register in advance, they’ll then be contacted when a pop-up day, hosted by an experienced skipper, becomes available.

In addition, family groups can pre-book private days out on the Solent midweek or at weekends.

The sailing days start from the River Hamble, before exploring the Solent and South Coast.

“Going sailing is an amazing feeling. It’s an exceptional activity for mental and physical well-being and an escape from everyday life. Something we all need,” says Melanie Warwick.
