Voting opens for 2025 Foiling Awards

Public voting is now open for the eighth edition of the Foiling Awards, which recognises achievements in foiling sport, innovation and industry between April 2024 and March 2025. The awards feature 14 categories and 92 nominees.
The award categories include Female Sailor, Male Sailor, Sailing Team, Innovation Technology, Sustainability, Project, Foiling Event, Foiling Pathway, Production Motor Boat, Commercial Project, Commercial Vessel, One-Off Sailing or Powered Yacht, Production Sailing Boat and Boards & Water Toys.
Winners will be announced on 20 May during a gala dinner event held at Palazzo della Borsa in Genova. The evening will be attended by recipients, members of the Genoa-based association of the foiling industry, The Foiling Organization; delegates of the World Foiling Congress 2025; industry professionals and accredited media.
A central feature of the event will be the Forlanini Award, selected by a jury composed of previous winners and industry figures. Named after Italian aviation and marine innovator Enrico Forlanini, the award highlights the most significant foiling-related achievement of the year.
On the same day, The Foiling Organization will host the second edition of the World Foiling Congress. This edition will focus on commercial foiling applications, with discussions centred on passenger transport, search and rescue operations, port patrol, pilot services and naval use.
The event is supported by Confindustria Nautica, the European Boating Industry (EBI) and ICOMIA. The Foiling Organization is a sustaining member of all three.
Further information, including detailed nominee profiles and previous award recipients, is available on the official Foiling Awards website. Voting closes on 30 April 2025.
