Windelo Catamaran expands in US
Windelo Catamaran, a French shipyard building eco-minded performance catamarans, has appointed brokerage and service specialist Just Catamarans as a partner in the US market.
Just Catamarans will represent the Windelo brand and help it grow market share in the US, and the two firms have also partnered on a sales and service agreement for Windelo owners visiting the US and Bahamas.
“Just Catamarans will be a key partner to the service footprint for all our clients visiting the US and Bahamas with a Windelo,” says Gautier Kauffmann, Windelo‘s founder.
“While Just Catamarans will boost the visibility and service of our brand in the territory, we understand how important it is for our customers to maintain direct contact with the shipyard throughout the lifecycle of their boat. This is why, together with the Just Cat team, we have created a partnership that adds up our teams in a joint approach to sales and servicing of our owners’ catamarans.”
Windelo says the appointment is a response to the US market’s growing demand for environmentally friendly performance multihulls.
This new partnership will be launched at the Miami International Boat Show by presenting the New Windelo 50 Yachting as a US premiere.
Designed in collaboration with the architects Christophe Barreau and Frédéric Neuman and designer Charlotte Schiffer, the new Windelo 50 is a fast blue-water cruising catamaran featuring an electric propulsion system that includes two electric engines and a hull construction method that uses volcanic basalt laminates, which are said to be a more sustainable alternative to traditional fibreglass matting.
